Silverplate cake/fruit basket (often called a bride's basket) by Benedict Silver, made in the USA Beautiful, pierced design! Footed base. Bride's baskets were popular in the US between about 1860-1910 and continued to be made into early 20th century.
Fill with small petit fours or candies, cut flowers or fresh fruit when entertaining. They make a great gloves holder!
The light shining thru the pierced pieces makes an amazing design on the surface around the basket.
The piece is an elegant serving piece or pretty at an entry way as a catch all for keys and glasses. Classic and elegant. 10" in diameter, one dent in the center of the tray

Hi! I'm Lindsey, founder of The Rural Legend Co. I'm on a mission to prove that great home style doesn't have to cost a lot of money! I am obsessed with sourcing home items secondhand and fully believe that adding vintage and antique pieces to your home adds soul and character that you just can't find in modern home decor. I am fortunate enough to live in an area where the secondhand shopping is AMAZING, so I find so much joy in curating special treasures to offer to fellow vintage lovers who can't find things locally. Join our Secondhand Squad where we love shopping sustainably, celebrate each other's thrift scores, and brainstorm unique upcycling ideas!
