Plant for sale is 2" tall, and is the one shown here. Euphorbia polygona "Snowflake", also commonly known as the 'African Milk Barrel,' is a spiny succulent shrub with spine waviness. This winter-dormant plant is cylindrical in shape and has sharp ridges lined with thorns. It originates from Mexico and belongs to the Euphorbiaceae family and it is a slw gorwer that reaches 1 to 2 feet in height.

Flowers are purple-yellow flowers that bloom in the spring-summer season. The attractive flowers are produced individually.

Allow the soil to dry between watering. Use well-draining, sandy soil or a cactus potting mix. They are not picky about soil pH, but they do not like wet soil. It is cold-hardy and has a frost tolerance of -4° C (24.8° F). It belongs to the hardiness zone of 9 – 11. This Euphorbia species prefers full to partial shade sun exposure. Allow at least 3-5 hours of direct sunlight per day, and turn it on a regular basis to prevent your plant from growing disproportionately.

    Located in Carson, CA (South Los Angeles) with over 25 years of experience growing over 800 plants of various genera mainly cacti, succulents, orchids, and carnivorous plants. Assisted by my daughter, we enjoy growing plants, sharing the plants we grow, our experiences and achievements. We focus on promoting the hobby, education, and conservation. We are active members of various societies, and also serve on the board in various non profits. I am a proud co-founder of SCCPE (sccpe.org), a very active carnivorous plant society in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. We (SCCPE) host the largest carnivorous plant show and sale event in the world every June. Our event is growing more and more every year . We also participate in many local and not-so-local plant group meets, events, and shows. Feel free to contact us for any reason, we look forward hearing from you!! We also offer local pick up for those of you in the area. If you live in the LA, or will be visiting the area you can schedule a visit with us ahead of time. We are not open to the public for walk ins, only by appointment.
