Drosera Adelae "Giant" - Lance Leaf Sundew, Live Carnivorous Plant

$21.00

Details

Sundews attract and capture insects with their adhesive leaves, breaking down and digesting their bodies for vital nutrients. Drosera adelae is one of the famous three sisters of Queensland. Drosera adelae is also known as the lance leaf sundew for its sword shaped leaves. This particular 'Giant' form can get larger than your typical Drosera adelae.

Your purchase includes 1 medium-size bareroot plant, securely wrapped in damp paper towels, along with comprehensive care instructions. Keep in mind that these plants are very easy to grow, but do have certain care requirements that need to be tended to in order to keep the plant healthy.

Preferred Growing Conditions:

Light: Thrives in partial or weak sunlight indoors or outdoors.

Soil: Requires well-draining, nutrient-poor media such as sphagnum or a mix of peat and perlite for optimal drainage.

Fertilizing: While not necessary, fertilization can accelerate growth. Maxsea, insects, or insect powder work well. Other fertilizers may also work when applied foliarly.

Humidity: Adaptable to various humidity levels, but prefers slightly higher humidity (40%+).

Watering: Keep soil consistently moist by using a tray method. Use low-mineral water like rain, RO, or distilled water.

Temperature: Ideally thrives in temperatures between 60-90°F, avoiding freezing conditions.

Dormancy: Drosera Adelae does not require dormancy periods.
