Still in ORIGINAL SHRINK-WRAP (opened). Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Gate-fold cover looks great; a couple creases near edges; no scuffing (front/back); shrink is split near top-left on back. Inner-gate can't be evaluated due to shrink. Inner-sleeve is original (lyrics/credits); bottom seam partially split. Spine is easy-to-read with very mild-wear. Little shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; some wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Heroes, by the Commodores, peaked at No. 7 on Billboard 200 and featured three singles: Old Fashion Love (No. 20 Hot 100, No. 8 R&B), Jesus is Love (No. 34 R&B) and Heroes (No. 54 Hot 100, No. 27 R&B). A reviewer on allmusic.com says of the album: "From 1974 until the end of the '70s, the Commodores enjoyed kicking out the hits. As the 1980s rolled in, the Commodores did not lose much steam as they scored their first Top Ten hit of the decade with the mid-tempo beauty Old Fashion Love. From the flattering lyric to the zestful groove, the splendid selection is complemented by Lionel Richie's colorful delivery. Heroes extols everyday people for their feats and courage. The former Tuskegee collegians were not known to do gospel, but scored big with Jesus Is Love. Richie's prayerful message and pleading cries are solidified with a lyric and melody that complement one another. The song's popularity is far greater than what the charts reflected (No. 37). Wake Up Children and Mighty Spirit are two other inspirational selections."
