This live edge charcuterie board is handcrafted from solid Claro walnut. It's designed as a functional serving piece well suited for entertaining, gifting, or display.
The board measures 25 inches by 13 inches and is 1.25 inches thick. Claro walnut is prized for its rich, rosy brown tones and dramatic figure, offering a warmth and depth not found in other Walnut species. The slab was sourced exclusively from a California orchard tree.
A natural crack in the slab has been structurally reinforced with hand-fitted bowties. A feathered grain transition near the lower edge highlights where the tree once branched. This is a one-of-a-kind board, selected and shaped to showcase the natural beauty of the wood with live edge.

Hey all, I’m Faheem. I’m a woodworker based in the metro Atlanta area. I began woodworking in 2023 with a simple goal: to create custom picture frames for my own space. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a broader practice, and today my work includes cutting boards, charcuterie boards, boxes, tabletops, and coffee tables.
My approach centers on letting the material guide the final design. For larger projects, I work with both locally sourced hardwoods and select slabs from the Pacific Northwest, where long growing seasons and centuries-old trees produce wide, highly figured material prized for fine furniture.
