Details

This board has incredible color and contrast; 7 different species of wood needed to be used and assembled in the final construction to give the board's design a completely random appearance.

The second defining feature of this board are the large sculpted handle cutouts on the underside which are intentionally shaped to accept a standard dinner plate. This allows food to be slid directly from the board onto a plate with ease and is ideal for transferring chopped ingredients, sliced meats, or finished dishes without lifting or tipping the board. No more cleaning up toppings and juices from your countertop.

The board is finished with wax to enhance grain clarity and warmth and has softened edges and integrated rubber feet to keep it stable during use.

Details: • Dimensions: 24″ × 11.5″ × 1.5″ • Wood species: Walnut, Cherry, Padauk, Wenge, Black Limba, African Mahogany, & Sapele • Construction: End-grain • Features: Integrated plate-slide handles and eased edges • Finish: Food-safe oil & wax blend

Care note: Hand wash only. Do not soak. Re-oil periodically with mineral oil to maintain appearance and longevity.

    Selling since January 2026

Hey all, I’m Faheem. I’m a woodworker based in the metro Atlanta area. I began woodworking in 2023 with a simple goal: to create custom picture frames for my own space. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a broader practice, and today my work includes cutting boards, charcuterie boards, boxes, tabletops, and coffee tables. My design philosophy is rooted in material led aesthetics. Rather than forcing a form, I allow the natural grain, live edge, and character of the wood to dictate the final design of any project. To achieve this, I utilize a blend of locally sourced Georgia hardwoods and premium, highly figured slabs from the Pacific Northwest, known for the scale and complexity required for heirloom quality furniture. If you’re interested in custom work or future projects, I’m happy to connect. Follow the process on Instagram: @faheem_woodworks
