Details
Import from Greece. Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing (front/back); surface abrasion on back near bottom-right. Inner-sleeve is original (generic white) with a small piece of it missing. Spine is mostly unreadable with wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Tea for the Tillerman, by Cat Stevens, is widely regarded as his masterpiece and one of the defining folk-rock albums of the early 1970s, blending introspective lyrics with gentle yet haunting acoustic arrangements. The record is notable for its deeply spiritual and philosophical themes—exploring life, death, childhood, nature, and faith—which reflected Stevens’ own search for meaning before his later conversion to Islam. Iconic fan-favorites include Wild World, Father and Son, Where Do the Children Play?, and the wistful title track Tea for the Tillerman. Uniquely, the album’s original cover art and inner sleeve illustrations were hand-drawn by Stevens himself, adding a personal, almost storybook quality that perfectly matched the music’s warmth and innocence. Tea for the Tillerman became a massive commercial and critical triumph, reaching No. 8 on the US Billboard 200 while Wild World hit No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, cementing Cat Stevens as a global star.
