Condition Details:

Vinyl plays with occasional crackles (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing and surface impressions (front/back). Flap with embossed text is attached and in working condition. Inner-sleeve is original (lyrics/photo). Spine has not text and wear. Some shelf-wear along side-edges and corners; left-edge partially unglued. Top opening is crisp with signs of light use. Columbia House pressing. (Not a cut-out.)

Horizon is the sixth consecutive Carpenters album to be platinum-certified. It was recorded at A&M Records (mainly in Studio "D" using then-state-of-the-art 24-track recording technology, 30 Dolby, and recorded at 30 inches per second). The Carpenters spent many hours experimenting with different sounds, techniques and effects. The album peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Albums chart. Horizon generated three hit singles: Please Mister Postman (No. 1), Only Yesterday (No. 4), and Solitaire (No. 17); all three topped the A/C chart.
