Antique Silver Solje Wedding Brooch with Tube Hinge and C Clasp Marked SC 88 Likely Mid 19th Century

A beautiful and elegant brooch from the Scandinavian tradition of wedding brooches. Each new tier is supposed to represent a new generation. The tube style hinge dates the brooch and it also appears to date to a time before these were mostly standardized to 830 silver. The brooch has been lightly polished. It is very delicate and should not be over-polished.

2" w x 3.5" l x .75" d

Condition:

Excellent vintage condition. No noticed chips, cracks, scuffs, blemishes or damage. Normal wear for age. Please see all photos.
