Bough Pottery was a very small craft pottery that produced one of a kind hand painted items from 1912 to 1942. Very difficult to find in North America, and sometimes available in UK. Elizabeth Amour attended Glasgow School of Art from 1908-1912, and established the family pottery on completion. Her brother Richard was one of the finest and most prolific artists in studio, but the studio closed in 1942 when Richard enlisted in WWII. After the war ended, the studio ceased using the BOUGH signature, and operated until 1974. This bright cheery jam pot is signed with Richard Amour’s initials, and is vibrant coloured, with deep glaze. Overall good condition with one small chip on inside of rim not visible with lid on. Please check photos carefully, and contact me with any questions. Smoke free pet free home
