Details
This antique Limoges dish is made by A. Lanternier (AL) in Limoges, France, between 1891 and 1914. The plate is hand-painted with a brilliant and richly colorful blackberry design and has a gold-gilded scalloped edge. Limoges porcelain is known for its high quality and the artistry of its hand-painted decorations. It has the AL mark in the anchor as well as the embossed anchor on the back authenticating its age and provenance. There is a small bit of paint loss on the berries, I believe and I have shown this in the photos. This is an amazing piece of art and history.
