This beautiful antique side dish is between 115 and 160+ years old, and features Yellow Roses and Pink Carnations. It was made by Henry Alcock and Co in England, circa 1861 - 1909. Judging by the style, my guess is late 1860s for date of manufacture. There are gilded swirls that form leaves on the handle areas. For the time, it was a high-end import and a luxury item.
Alcock was a famous pottery company starting in 1835, but the son Henry took over from his father John in 1861, and the name changed to Henry Alcock & Co. In October of 1909, however, Henry Alcock & Co becomes Henry Alcott Pottery, Ltd
