This exquisite set of eight antique Uchatius Bronce fruit or dessert knives made in Germany between 1900 and 1920. Each knife features a distinctive blade made of Uchatius bronze, a specialized copper alloy prized for its golden, brass-like luster and historical durability and acid resistance. The blades are clearly stamped with the "UCHATIUSBRONCE" hallmark. The beautiful hand-painted porcelain handles are decorated in the timeless "Blue Onion" (Zwiebelmuster) pattern. Measuring approximately 6” in length, these petite knives were originally designed for the refined service of fruit, cheese, or hors d'oeuvres during the Victorian and Art Nouveau eras. They remain perfectly functional today as a luxury addition to a modern charcuterie board or as a standout decorative set for a vintage display. The porcelain handles are in excellent vintage condition, retaining their vibrant blue pigment, while the bronze blades possess a beautiful natural patina that speaks to their century-old history. This complete set of eight is a rare find, offering both historical significance and sophisticated charm.
