This unique tea strainer is an antique made in Germany during the late 1800s. It is constructed of silver-plated nickel and brass. The brass strainer features a star type pattern designed from the punch holes in the brass bowl. The strainer is very old but still looks glorious. The silver-plated nickel frame is very ornate with delightful scroll-work all around. On the handle is a little scene depicting a lady sitting on a seaside bench feeding the birds. The underside has the prominent "GERMANY" mark. This is a lovely piece of antique German artistry.

I recently retired from my life as a Professor of Pharmacy (hence Drugmama) and realized I must reinvent myself. Since becoming an astonaut was off the table, I decided to embrace what I love…all things Vintage! I love collecting the items from our past. Whether they be shiny and ornate or sleek and utilitarian, they bring me joy. I hope you share in this passion and support me in this new chapter of my life.
