Details
This exquisite antique Georgian Flemish openwork heart pendant, crafted in the 1820s, features silver, gold, and diamonds. The fan-shaped upper section showcases a large gold flower with three smaller gold flower accents, while the heart-shaped lower section is adorned with diamond-accented petal designs. Flemish hearts, traditional Belgian jewelry, symbolize the Virgin Mary and were often gifted to mothers on special occasions. Similar to one in the Victoria and Albert Museum, this rare piece is perfect for antique jewelry collectors or as a meaningful gift.
Details:
Gemstones are tested on a Presidium II Gem Tester. The PGT II determines glass from actual gemstones, but it cannot determine if the gemstones are natural gems vs lab created gems.
Gold and silver are tested using appropriate jewelry acid testing solutions and a touch stone; acid is never placed on the jewelry.
