I grew up in the UK and as a child would often go to church rummage sales, charity shops (thrift stores) and car boot sales with my grandmother who adored antiques. Her pension only really allowed her to buy second hand but occasionally we would go to Lamports department store and I dreamed of buying every Royal Doulton horse they had on display. She gave me an appreciation for things with a history and I hold those days spent with her, very near to my heart. Fast forward and I decided that my love for finding vintage treasures would be a great way to help support my wildlife rescue that my dear husband has financed all these years.
