Details
This live edge serving board is handcrafted from a single slab of old-growth redwood, ethically sourced from a sawmill in Oregon. The board highlights the deep color, tight growth rings, and flowing figure that are characteristic of slow grown redwood. The slab features a naturally contoured live edge preserved along the length.
The slab has substantial thickness and presence while remaining manageable for everyday use. Rubber feet are installed to keep the board elevated and protect countertops. The surface is finished with multiple coats of a durable urethane, making it well suited for serving, display, or use as a kitchen accent without concern for spills or moisture.
The grain features pronounced movement and waviness, with exceptionally tight growth rings that look more like flowing lava than actual wood.
Dimensions: Length: 36 inches Width: 18 inches Thickness: 2.25 inches
Due to the size, value, and one-of-a-kind nature of this piece, all sales are final. I’m happy to provide additional photos, measurements, or walk through the board via FaceTime prior to purchase. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Hey all, I’m Faheem. I’m a woodworker based in the metro Atlanta area. I began woodworking in 2023 with a simple goal: to create custom picture frames for my own space. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a broader practice, and today my work includes cutting boards, charcuterie boards, boxes, tabletops, and coffee tables.
My approach centers on letting the material guide the final design. For larger projects, I work with both locally sourced hardwoods and select slabs from the Pacific Northwest, where long growing seasons and centuries-old trees produce wide, highly figured material prized for fine furniture. If you’re interested in custom work or future projects, I’m happy to connect.
