Details
Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing (front/back); small surface abrasion near bottom center on front. Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is easy-to-read with mild wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Paradise Bird, by Amii Stewart, followed her breakthrough success with Knock On Wood. The album, rooted in disco with R&B and pop influences, was produced by Barry Leng and featured tracks like The Letter and Jealousy. It yielded two European singles: Jealousy, which charted at No. 58 in the UK, No. 4 in Italy, and No. 5 in Switzerland, and the double A-side The Letter/Paradise Bird, reaching No. 39 in the UK in 1980. Despite its European traction, the album was less successful in the USA and remains officially unreleased on CD. Historically, Paradise Bird reflects the late 1970s disco era's peak, showcasing Stewart’s vocal versatility during a time when disco was both commercially dominant and facing a cultural backlash in the USA.
