Details

Fostoria Glass Company was an American manufacturer of glassware, founded in Fostoria, Ohio, in 1887. The company later moved to Moundsville, West Virginia, in 1891, where it operated for nearly a century. Fostoria became renowned for its high-quality pressed and blown glassware, including elegant tableware, decorative items, and collectible pieces. Their "Coin Glass" pattern, introduced in 1950, is one of their most iconic and sought-after lines.

The "Coin Glass" pattern features embossed coin designs within the glass, simulating actual currency from different eras. This particular piece is made of amber-colored glass, a popular hue for Fostoria, and has a distinctive scalloped rim. The oval shape and the coin motifs make it a classic example of mid-20th-century American decorative glass, highly prized by collectors for its aesthetic appeal and historical references.
