This is a beautiful 50s/60s evening / party dress. I just had this cleaned at the dry cleaners so it is ready to wear. Would fit best a 10 plus or minus based on measurements. Dress label is Toby Lynn New York. It has the AFL-CIO blue union label from the 50s to 1963. Dress has a satin lining and a chiffon outer layer. The waist is embellished with a beautiful beaded design. The belt section starts right below the chest and ends at the natural waist. There is a full metal zipper down the back. The color is a violet blue. The true color shows up best in the close up photos. I love how the skirt fabric moves. In one pic of the side view the wind is blowing it up so you can see how full it goes. There are 2 large bows on the back of the dress which cover the hidden zipper. They are sagging down after the cleaning so they probably should be starched if you want them straight again.
Condition: Dress is in very nice condition. The only issues I see are on the inside of the dress where there is some fraying of the loose satin material past where it is been sewn together. (last pic shows example)
Measurements while dress is laying flat: -Across chest underarm to underarm 19" (there is room in the cups for a fuller breast that isn't included in the measurement.. Also I measured the inside satin layer which doesn't stretch) -Across waist 15" -Sleeve opening 5.75" across -Length from top of dress to waistline 18" -Length from waistline to bottom of dress 27"
