• The Boy Scouts of America holds a National Scout Jamboree approximately every four years. They have been doing this since 1935. The various memorabilia from these National Jamborees is very collectible and sought after …. especially the 1964 National Jamboree held in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.

• The various rare items being offered here, were distributed or purchased directly at and during the actual 1964 Jamboree. Many of the items may never have been available here on eBay, or are very rare and very hard to find.

• The "collection" includes rare items such as the "Jamboree Journal" … a daily newspaper only published and distributed directly at the 1964 Valley Forge Boy Scouts National Jamboree. It was primarily a four-page black and white newspaper full of scouting news related around and in the Valley Forge camp. This collection includes four individual editions of this newspaper.

• Also included are many printed literature pieces that were given exclusively to those attending the 1964 Jamboree. Those include: multi-page 4-color booklets, decals, jamboree coin, pamphlets, attending scout welcome and introduction letters, various newspaper clippings from an upstate New York newspaper, leather Jamboree patch, and three unused jamboree scarfs.

• All items in this 1964 Jamboree Collection are originals (no reproductions). The items are in excellent condition, having been stored (bag sealed), in a dry, moisture-free, smoke-free home environment. Items as described may have only slight "age wear" due to original material natural "aging" over the past 60 years! This "age" wear is particularly evident in one of the scarfs (see photos), where the white areas of the scarf display some very slight yellow tinge (which is hard to show the slight yellow "aging" subtlety in the eBay photos)
