I was spawned in the Pacific NW and began creating with wood when my "real job" became overwhelming and I needed a hands-on hobby to relieve stress. The hobby turned into a 5,000sq ft workshop with over 100 live edge slab tables and wood pieces on display in SE Portland. One of my preferred styles is combining old objects and repurposing them with beautiful wood specimens to create functional, one-of-a-kind pieces that border on sculpture. I believe it's important to repurpose everything possible so I also save all small wood ends and hand work them to become beautiful, unique display blocks that make live edge accessible to everyone. I relocated to Santa Barbara, California in 2021 and sold my entire wood furniture and slab collection to Williams Sonoma/Rejuvenation for inclusion in their retail stores and catalogs. Since leaving Oregon, I have designed and built one-off, custom pieces out of a small wood shop and continue to find stress relief in the process. In early 2025 I retired from my "real job" to pursue creative projects full time in wood, as well as 3D printed product designs - www.unrulymade.com
